Eric Dubay
aka Eric DuBay
American author and content creator based in Thailand who is widely credited with reviving interest in flat Earth theory through his 2015 book and video 200 Proofs Earth is Not a Spinning Ball, which has been translated into over 20 languages. Also writes on topics related to historical revisionism and yoga. His flat Earth claims are rejected by the scientific community and contradict established physics, astronomy, and direct observation.
Biography
Eric Dubay is an American author and yoga and Wing Chun instructor based in Thailand who is widely regarded as the single most influential figure in the modern flat Earth revival. Prior to his flat Earth work, he produced content on yoga, martial arts, and general conspiracy topics, but it was his 2014 book 'The Flat Earth Conspiracy' and particularly his 2015 video '200 Proofs Earth is Not a Spinning Ball' that brought him global attention in conspiracy circles. The book and video have been translated into over 20 languages and inspired a generation of flat Earth content creators.
Dubay describes himself as head of the International Flat Earth Research Society, though his claim to this title is disputed by other flat Earth proponents. His model of the flat Earth describes it as a disc with the Arctic at the center and Antarctica as a surrounding ice wall, with the sun and moon as small local objects circling above the disc. He claims that all photographs of a spherical Earth are fabricated, that NASA has never left the atmosphere, and that the conspiracy to hide the flat Earth extends back centuries.
Beyond flat Earth advocacy, Dubay has attracted substantial criticism — including from within the flat Earth community — for his overt antisemitism and Holocaust denial. On his website, he has written that Hitler 'never ordered the extermination of a single Jew,' has called himself 'the guy who likes Hitler,' and has written approvingly of Nazism in multiple contexts. His '200 Proofs' book contains antisemitic imagery. These views have led figures like Mark Sargent to publicly distance themselves from Dubay.
Dubay has no scientific credentials whatsoever. His authority derives entirely from his prolific output and from the internal credibility he has built within conspiracy subcultures. Despite this, his content has been viewed tens of millions of times and has been cited as a gateway into broader conspiracy belief systems by researchers studying online radicalization.

Claims & Debunking
“The Earth is a flat disc surrounded by a wall of ice (Antarctica), not a globe.”DEBUNKED
The spherical Earth is confirmed by direct observation from space, the physics of gravity, circumnavigation, the consistent behavior of ship disappearance over the horizon, the circular shadow Earth casts on the Moon during lunar eclipses, GPS satellite systems, and thousands of other lines of converging evidence. Every single one of Dubay's '200 proofs' has been individually rebutted with empiric
“All space agencies and world governments have conspired to conceal the flat Earth from the public.”DEBUNKED
This claim requires the secret coordination of thousands of scientists, engineers, militaries, and governments across competing nations and centuries — including adversaries during the Cold War — a conspiracy of implausible scale and longevity. Earth's curvature can be independently verified with modest equipment available to anyone.
